ChatConnect — Installation & Training

ChatConnect is a self-hosted live chat for websites, in a familiar messenger style. A lean alternative to SaaS chat tools — running on your own infrastructure, without subscription lock-in, without third-party tracking. This service covers the full setup on your server, configuration of branding and widget embedding, real-time messaging and availability, plus a training session on the desktop app and admin.

What's included

• Installation on your server (Laravel 12 backend, PostgreSQL database)
• SSL/HTTPS, mail delivery and queue worker setup
• Laravel Reverb (WebSocket) service behind a reverse proxy (secure wss over port 443)
• Widget embedding on your website(s) with a single line of code
• Branding configuration per site (widget color, welcome message, position, offline message)
• Business hours and online/offline availability setup
• Desktop app setup for your team (macOS / Windows)
• Optional AI chatbot configuration with human handover (on request)
• 60-minute online training session for the desktop app and admin
• 30 days of support after handover

Requirements

Your own Linux server (VPS or root) with PHP 8.4 or higher, PostgreSQL, and the ability to run persistent background processes (systemd or Supervisor) for the Reverb WebSocket server and the queue worker. Plus a sub- or main domain for the installation. Redis is optional and recommended for higher load.

Languages

ChatConnect runs bilingually — the desktop app and admin are available in German and English.
